We are dedicated to helping people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. I walk to honor my Uncle, Jim Stone, who lost his courageous battle to cancer in May 2025. Our family has seen first hand the work that the Center does to support not only the person carrying the diagnosis, but also those supporting them.

The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
