I'm raising money for the Dempsey Center!

Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page for this year's Dempsey Challenge!

As many of you know, I am an almost 11 year breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed on 11/13/15 (yep, Friday the 13th), the Dempsey Center was a huge part of my journey. Our girls were just 5 & 7.5 and we utilized the Healing Tree Program to keep them from being afraid while I went through surgery, chemo and radiation. I utilized the Women's Support Group so that I could talk with people who were in my shoes and could relate to exactly what I was going through. Abby and I received some free massages as well! 
As an Oncology RN at CMMC, I talk to my patients about the Dempsey Center as much as I have the chance to. 

The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.

With a donation made to my page, you can help support thousands of cancer patients, survivors, care partners, and their loved ones. Gifts of any amount will provide no-cost support for years to come.
