2026 Dempsey Challenge

I'm raising money for the Dempsey Center!

Why I compete:

Jean Letourneau was my grandmother, taken too early from our family via breast cancer. I run in memory of her and the countless lives of others who have been affected by this ancient condition. Through joint struggle we find solidarity and strength.

The 2026 Challenge:

This year's challenge consists of a 10 kilometer road race through downtown Lewiston Maine, home city of the Dempsey Center. The race takes place on the morning of September 19th. All are welcome to cheer on the racers and enjoy the festival at Simard-Payne park.

About the Dempsey Center:

The Dempsey Center provides no-cost support services to cancer patients throughout Maine and beyond. Some activities include: Oncology counseling for the patient and their family, exercise and dexterity classes to keep fit, and yoga/massage/dog-assisted therapy to stay mindful. These sessions are educational, fun, and often equip a patient with the knowledge needed to further improve quality of life for themselves and others when they get back home. I personally believe the center's activities are effective and make a real impact on their clients and a positive difference in the world.

Any donations or well-wishes contributed are valuable and hugely appreciated. Even a small donation of $5 makes a difference. Every dollar raised goes straight to the foundation to support patients that need it. If you end up giving me cash, you will be publicly honored on my donation page.
