We ride. We run. We walk. We move. We show up-because that's exactly what he would have done for us.
This page is dedicated to EJ Buckley — a son, a brother, a husband, the funny uncle, a brother-in-law, a nephew, a cousin, a veteran, an athlete, and one of the hardest workers any of us have ever known. EJ was the kind of person who filled a room without trying, who showed up without being asked, and who loved his people fiercely and without condition.
On June 28, 2020, we lost him to cancer. And not a day goes by that we don't feel that.
The Dempsey Challenge is our way of honoring him — of channeling the grief into something that matters, something that might spare another family from the kind of loss we carry. Every mile we log, every dollar raised, every step forward is for EJ.
He would have been the first one signed up. He would have trained harder than anyone. He would have cheered the loudest at the finish line.
So we do it for him. We do it in his name. And we do it with the kind of heart he taught us to have.
In loving memory of EJ Buckley. Forever our teammate. Forever our family.
