It was 2018, when I was told I had Multiple Myeloma..stage 3 tumor lodged in between my pelvis bone and hip, stage 2's and 1's all over my torso.
They mentioned I was like 2% likely to get this cancer.. thats why it was difficult to find. Having fibromyalgia and endometriosis covering up most of the symptoms.. it was the peripheral neuropathy that said, hold on wait... this might be cancer, who knew! My first question was "How did I get it?"It stems from where I grew up and the air quality and pesticides. Okay, second question "How do I get rid of it?" Thankfully I have already been through everything else, so at this time he said to me ( which blew my mind ?) was a Stem Cell Transplant.
Who, what, when, how came to mind at this point.
Before I knew it I was getting a Stem Cell Transplant. I was able to harvest my own cells. I was in Boston, Ma Dana Farber Intuition Brighams Women Hospital.
It most certainly was a challenge. They strip your whole immune system down to zero (they nuke you)and it starts over again. I even had to get all the kid vaccinations again! No hair for three months and then short hair for a few years until finally I can wear long hair again!!
Back when they told me I have MM, they also generously gave me 7years to live, well I'm Challenging myself this September 19th cause I am 7years old and Cancer Free to this day and finally able to join and celebrate surviving!!

Because if you can catch it earlier than later, I believe you can fight it and win!
