Hello, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page for this year’s Dempsey Challenge, supporting the Center and its mission to make life better for people impacted by cancer. The Center provides free physical, emotional, and practical support to people with cancer and their loved ones. Unlike my sister, who connects with local celebs and has met the legend himself, I can only McDream!

I’ll be walking in honor of James Kessler, who passed away at 17, less than a year after his diagnosis. James was a dear friend in San Francisco who was an extraordinary poet, musician, and quiet leader. After meeting him in Chicago, President Obama was so taken with James that he invited him to the inauguration. It’s been 17 years since James passed, and I wonder what impact he might have had on the world.

I’ll be carrying James with me, along with all those our family has loved and lost to cancer and those courageously battling it today.

Any donation, large or small, helps the Dempsey Center provide free support to people and families throughout their cancer journey. Thank you for helping me honor James and all those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
