Hi! My name is Emma and I am so excited to be participating in the 2025 Patrick Dempsey Challenge. I am so grateful to be able to support the Dempsey Center and their mission to provide cancer support services to anyone impacted by cancer. Cancer has unfortunately been something I have had to witness impact the lives of my family members, close friends, and myself. I’ve seen and experienced firsthand how challenging it can be, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. The Dempsey Center provides an incredible range of support including mental health care, wellness programs, support groups, and more to those who need it. I’m participating because I believe no one should have to face something as scary and challenging as cancer alone. The Dempsey Center creates a space where people can find strength, connection, and hope. I’m taking on this challenge to help ensure these life changing resources continue to be available for anyone who needs them. I’m challenging myself to run the 10k and have set a fundraising goal of $300 to support the Dempsey Center’s work. Every donation (big or small) makes a difference. The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
