Why We Walk

Southeastern bank walks and supports Alzheimer’s research because we care deeply about our community and customers. Financial health and brain health are closely connected. We want to protect your independence and your hard-earned money as you age.

Ways We Help Protect Your Funds

Trusted Contact: Add a safe person to your account. We only call them if we suspect fraud or worry about your well-being. They cannot touch your money.

Power of Attorney (POA): Name a legal agent. They can manage your finances if you get sick or can no longer make choices.

Family Access: Set up joint accounts or view-only access. This helps loved ones spot early signs of trouble or scams.

More than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. Seventy-three percent are age 75 or older. About 1 in 9 people age 65 and older (10.7%) has Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's begins 20 years or more before memory loss and other symptoms develop.
