I've been training at Sun Dragon for several months, and I know that my martial arts school makes a significant difference when helping the people of Austin. Each student finds our school for a variety of different reasons, but we all train together to better ourselves and to give back to our community. Practicing at Sun Dragon has greatly increased my self-confidence and I am more motivated than ever to reach the healthy goals I have set for myself. I know I can do it!

Sun Dragon Martial Arts & Self Defense is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that teaches violence prevention and Seido karate to students of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. How does martial arts training help our students? Seido Karate training at Sun Dragon benefits students physically by improving their coordination, balance, agility, increasing flexibility and building strength. Students grow emotionally, learning to better understand themselves, read others and social situations, and create a better-balanced life inside and outside of the dojo. Sun Dragon is built on the twin foundations of Seido Karate and Empowerment Self Defense, which work together to help our students learn to care about their friends, set boundaries in their relationships, explore strategies for when things go wrong, and learn to expect respect from others and extend it in turn.
