My Karate Dojo - Sun Dragon - is holding a fundraising event called Kickathon on November 14th, 2026!  

At Kickathon, students and instructors try to do as many kicks as possible. Some even reach up to one thousand, wow!  My goal is 250 - I know I can get there! 

Here is a little more about my Dojo and why it is so special:

Sun Dragon is more than just a martial arts school - we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that teaches violence prevention and karate to students of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. We support the personal and physical empowerment of all through training in conflict resolution, self defense, and non-violent martial arts. But more than those basics, we're a vibrant, welcoming community rooted in intersectional feminism and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. We work hard to make sure everyone, regardless of demographic or financial situation, has access to empowering self-defense training.

Kickathon is our largest single fundraiser - the money we raise through our annual Kickathon supports free to low-cost violence prevention outreach and student scholarship programs.
