2026 Junior Achievement Fundraiser
If you know me then you know I believe education is the key to much of life, and specifically the key to getting out of poverty. Junior Achievement helps provide a financial education to the students in Douglas County and elsewhere.
As we continue to see cuts to our education systems and as the cost of goods continues to rise, educating our youth about the economy and their personal finances has become even more important. Junior Achievement picks up where our school systems cannot by partnering with community volunteers to provide classes to students at all different grade levels which increase their financial literacy. Having lead some of these classes, it is obvious that our children want to learn and that JA employs great people to create these easy-to-teach classes which offer a lot of engagement for the students.
One of the biggest ways to get a step-ahead in life is through education and financial literacy. If you know how to manage your finances and what role you play in the larger economy before you leave high school, life as an adult because much easier and much more successful. As the holiday season approaches, please consider donating to help support the work JA does for the children of Douglas County. This work is no possible without the support of people who care about the children that will one day become our leaders - people like you.
Thank you for considering a donation to JA of Douglas County,
