2026 Missionary Fundraising ○ MI Team
Matthew Higley
My Story
Thank you for visiting my B4B fundraising page! My name is Matthew and I am a sophomore at the Unviersty of St. Thomas where I study biochemistry on a pre-med track. This is my first year as a B4B missionary and I am so excited for the oppurtunity to love, learn, and serve throughout formation.
I became a missionary this year after having the B4B mission shared with me by other missionaires at St. Thomas. After, a period of discernment I realized that The Lord has blessed me with good health, a supportive community, and the resources needed to be a rider for B4B. I also found that The Lord was calling me on to take a more active role in my faith and to share the importance of life more jofyully and with a greater fervor than I have ever before. After visiting my Pregnancay Resource Center partner in person and seeing the life changing work they do for countless moms and unborn children I can now conifdently say that I am riding for them and the hundreds of other PRCs across the country. I ride to spread hope, raise support for my PRC, and share the profound dignity of every person born and unborn.
Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.

Pre-National Ride Visit to GSW
I stopped by Guiding Star Wakota this week to collect prayer requests to take with me on the national ride. I was able to talk to the entire team of woman who work there and even witness some of the amazing work they do in action. For instance while I was there a call came in from a spanish speaking mother who was in need of support and without hesitation one of the employees switched to speaking spanish(a skill she learned entirely for this job) and was able to walk the mother through getting the help she needed. I also learned about the work GSW is doing to obtain googles ads which has doubled the number of mothers they serve in the past year alone.
Visit to Guiding Star Wakota
I stopped by GSW this week to collect prayer requests to take with me on the national ride. While I was there I had the opportunity to witness some of the amazing work that they do. For example, a call came in from a spanish speaking mom in need of support and without hesitation the employee who received the call switched to speaking spanish(a skill she learned entirely for this job) and was able to walk the mom through getting the help she needed. I also learned about their efforts to obtain google ads which have doubled the number of mothers they are serving in the past year alone. However, they are expensive and a large part of funding is now being allocated to these ads. Lastly the entire team of woman prayed over me for safety and endurance for the national ride, I am so grateful for them!
Training Weekend in Milwaukee
The Biking for Babies network hosted a training weekend in Milwaukee for missionaries to get a taste of what the national ride will be like. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend and meet some of my teammates as well as missionaries from other teams. Everyone was filled with so much joy and we absolutely rocked it by biking 100 miles on Saturday and 50 miles on Sunday. It was amazing to hear how passionate the group was about supporting mothers and trying to save unborn babies.
Day Zero!!
Today was our team bonding day before we begin riding(in 7 hours from when I’m writing this!). We attended mass at Our Lady of Good Council and were met with a warm welcome by such a beautiful parish community. We also got the chance to connect with a local fight for life group and hear about the vibrant ideas they use to advance the culture of life. Overall we feel ready as a team and can’t wait to put rubber on the pavement tomorrow. Please pray for us all especially through the heat this week. For the babies and God Bless.
