Why I Walk

My amazing sister-in-love Katrina was 6 months pregnant with my niece when she had to be admitted to the hospital for severe preeclampsia. Both her and baby girl were fighting hard but PreE was making them too sick, so Mayah had to be born 3 months early. Since then, they've both kept fighting to get healthier and still have some medical challenges to this day. 
 

There is no current cure for preeclampsia besides delivering your baby. I want to change that. Donations raised by our team will go to researching PreE and learning more about this sickness and, hopefully, finding a cure. We don't want any more babies and mommies having to go through what Katrina and Mayah went through. 
 

To Mayah, 

You are the light of our lives, our warrior princess and our miracle baby. I'm so proud of you, chicken nugget. Keep fighting. I love you to the moon and back.
