I am walking on behalf of my dear friend, Karina, and her daughter, Alina, who passed away due to complications from preeclampsia after being born prematurely. While her life was far too short, her impact continues to inspire those who knew and loved her.
This cause is especially close to my heart because Alina's younger brother, Adam, is my son's best friend and we carry Alina's memory with us every day.
Our team walks to honor Alina, raise awareness about preeclampsia, and support efforts to prevent other families from experiencing such a devastating loss. Funds raised through this walk help advance critical research, education, and programs that protect mothers and babies.
