Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome can develop rapidly, turning what should be a healthy pregnancy into a life-threatening medical emergency for both mother and baby. These conditions impact entire families, often without warning, making education, early recognition, and research more important than ever. That is why our community comes together each year for the Boston Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in Andover—to raise awareness, honor the journeys of families affected, support one another, and help create a future where every pregnancy is safer.

More Than a Walk — A Community United
Over the years, this event has become a meaningful gathering where survivors, families, healthcare professionals, and supporters come together to share stories, inspire one another, and raise awareness about preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome.
This walk has made such an impact that the Governor of Massachusetts previously issued an official proclamation recognizing its importance and contribution to maternal health awareness.
Why We Walk
The Boston Promise Walk for Preeclampsia supports the national mission of the Preeclampsia Foundation — raising awareness, funding lifesaving research, and helping protect mothers and babies everywhere.
- Awareness Saves Lives: Many expectant parents are unfamiliar with the warning signs of preeclampsia until it becomes a medical emergency. By raising awareness and providing education, we empower families to recognize symptoms early, seek prompt medical attention, and advocate for the care they deserve.
- Building a Stronger Community: No one should face a high-risk pregnancy alone. The Boston Promise Walk brings together survivors, families, healthcare professionals, advocates, volunteers, and community members who believe that every mother deserves support, compassion, and hope.
- Funding Hope for the Future: Every dollar raised supports the mission of the Preeclampsia Foundation by funding lifesaving research, advancing education, expanding family resources, and improving outcomes for mothers and babies across the country.

- Location: 40 Whittier Court, Andover, Massachusetts
- Date: Sunday, November 1, 2026 10 AM- In person registration starts.
- Join a team, create your own, or donate using the link below.
Participants are encouraged to walk four laps around the track (approximately one mile), or continue walking throughout the full event hour. Whether you walk, connect with others, share your story, or simply show up in support — your presence matters. Let’s walk together for the mothers, the babies, the survivors, and for a future where every pregnancy is a safe one
