That is why our community comes together each year for the Boston Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in Andover—to raise awareness, honor the journeys of families affected, support one another, and help create a future where every pregnancy is safer. In recognition of its dedication to maternal health awareness, the Governor of Massachusetts previously issued an official proclamation honoring the Boston Promise Walk and its contributions to improving maternal health across the Commonwealth. As the Massachusetts Chair, I am honored to help bring this inspiring event to our community each year. Seeing families come together with hope, strength, and compassion is a powerful reminder of why this mission matters. Why We Walk We walk to celebrate survivors. We walk in memory of the mothers and babies we've lost. We walk to support families currently navigating high-risk pregnancies. We walk to raise awareness so more lives can be saved. Most importantly, we walk with hope—for healthier pregnancies and brighter futures for every family. Participants are invited to walk four laps around the track (approximately one mile) or continue walking throughout the event. Whether you walk one lap or stay the entire time, every step helps raise awareness and inspires hope.
