At Northwell Health we are dedicated to reducing maternal mortality rates for all moms through evidence-based care and early risk detection. Our Prenatal Screening Laboratory has implemented new screening tools for preeclampsia that offer significant hope for earlier and more accurate prediction, prevention, and prognosis. However, the full potential will be realized only if these tools are applied equitably. We walk to make all patients and clinicians aware that we have a better more proactive approach to preventing and managing preeclampsia.
