Love needs no words
Nick was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) just before his second birthday. At that time, he was completely nonverbal—he couldn’t point to objects, make eye contact, or communicate his needs in a way that others could understand. Over the past few years, we have been incredibly blessed with a supportive team that has become more like family. Through endless hard work, patience, and determination, Nick has made remarkable progress. He now uses scripting, points to communicate, utilizes a communication device, is fully potty trained, and knows every letter, number, and shape. While we celebrate these incredible milestones, autism is lifelong, and many of the daily struggles and challenges happen quietly, away from public view. Nick’s journey is a testament to his strength, perseverance, and the power of unwavering support, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far he has come. We would love your support for the walk on September 19th and invite you to join our team for the walk at Bucks County Community College. For years, this has been a Robby and Nicholas post. This year is no different. Robby has his own story, and it’s nothing short of amazing—he has grown from a young child who struggled to make friends and communicate to jumping off the stage at a talent show after playing Ozzie on his electric guitar. I’m so proud of his constant effort to make his life the way he envisions it. I am grateful he is able to. I’m so proud of the team that helped him get this far. It’s really cool to watch. Autism is VERY much so different for each person who experiences it, no two people have the same strengths or struggles—that could not be more accurate for our home. ??
