I recently joined the Foundation Board of The Lighthouse for the Blind because this mission is deeply personal to me. Visual impairment has touched my own family. As a mother and a technology leader who has spent decades building assistive technologies, I've seen how important independence, opportunity, and access can be.

What makes Lighthouse unique is that it doesn't just provide services - it helps people who are blind or have low vision build careers, achieve financial independence, and live with greater confidence and self-sufficiency. Through employment, training, assistive technology, and Low Vision Services, Lighthouse empowers individuals to thrive at work and in life.
