Community in Schools (CIS) works directly inside schools to surround students with the resources, support, and relationships they need to overcome barriers and succeed in the classroom and beyond. From school supplies and basic needs to mentoring and family support, CIS helps thousands of students across San Antonio stay engaged, graduate, and build brighter futures.
We're especially proud to have two amazing moms in our FIT4MOM North San Antonio community who work with CIS and are making a meaningful difference every day. As the new school year begins, let's come together to support their mission by donating money for school supplies. Together, we can make a lasting impact!
Stuff The Bus School Supply Drive is one of city's largest school supply drives that serves thousands of under-served students and families. Many of our families are below the poverty line and cannot afford all the supplies their children need to start their school year. The funds raised through this event will be given to about 140 CIS partnering schools (elementary-high school) across 12 school districts to purchase supplies for any student in need at that campus. Your support helps to alleviate the stress of back-to-school expenses and allows students to focus on their education with the tools they need to be successful.
