Four years ago, we welcomed a little boy into our lives who would forever change the way we think, act, and see the world. When JW was born with Down syndrome, we entered a journey filled with unexpected challenges, countless appointments, difficult questions, and moments of uncertainty. But alongside those challenges came incredible joy, perspective, and a community of people who have lifted us up every step of the way.

We are deeply grateful for the gift JW has given our family. Through him, we have learned patience, resilience, unconditional love, and the power of celebrating every milestone. We have also experienced firsthand the importance of organizations and advocates who help families navigate confusing diagnoses, connect with resources, access critical services, and build a future full of opportunity.

Today, we want to give back to the community that has supported us during the moments when answers were hard to find, appointments were difficult to secure, and the path forward seemed unclear. We walk not only to celebrate JW, but also to help ensure that other individuals with Down syndrome and their families have access to the support, inclusion, and opportunities they deserve.
