Dear friends and family,

When Krishtine was pregnant and we found out our baby would have Down syndrome, we had many questions. Krishtine started looking online, and fortunately, she found the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County. DSNMC quickly connected us to other parents of young children with Down syndrome and gave us a care package of books to prepare us for our journey. We also attended a DSNMC workshop to learn about Maryland ABLE accounts for people with special needs and opened one to save for Desmond's future.

These friendships and resources have been so valuable, and as Desmond gets older, he'll be able to attend art, self-advocacy, and public speaking workshops, social events, and more, all courtesy of DSNMC!

If you would like to support individuals like Desmond and their families, then please consider joining Desmond's Dream Team and making a donation today! We're hoping to raise $6,321 for this important cause that's near to our hearts. We also invite you to join us at the 22^nd Step UP Walk on Saturday, October 24 in Potomac, MD. Step UP is DSNMC's largest fundraising and awareness event of the year, attracting over 700 participants and raising 70% of the annual revenue needed to fulfill its mission. The event is filled with entertainment, music, dancing, activities, food, and fun for everyone to enjoy. We'd love for you to join us!
