Our Story
My name is Alyssa Bowles, and I have been volunteering with the Brandywine Valley SPCA since 2016! I have been involved in many aspects of the shelter, including dog walking, training, assisting with playgroups, adoptions, events, and our air rescue program! Being part of the BVSPCA volunteer group has been so rewarding, as is being a dog mom myself.
My dog, Baja, came to me in January of 2023. He is actually a BVSPCA alumnus himself! He was flown in through our Wings of Rescue second chance program from New Orleans, Louisiana! I am so grateful to both our shelter and Wings of Rescue for being able to find him! He has truly changed my life for the better!
