I need your help.

On October 3, I'm lacing up for the 2026 Capital Area Humane Society's Walk for the Animals and I'm walking so that homeless animals can get the second chances they so deserve.

Every single day, animals show up at CAHS with nothing but hope. And lately, as families hit financial hard times, more and more pets are being surrendered, abandoned, or simply left without anyone to care for them. That's where the Capital Area Humane Society steps in with food, shelter, medical care, and the thing these animals need most: love.

But here's the thing, they can't do it alone.

CAHS doesn't receive a dime of state or federal funding, and they're not backed by any national organization. Everything they do runs entirely on the kindness of people like you.
