Okay, friends… I’m asking you to help me do one of my VERY favorite things: help animals. ❤️

On October 3, I’ll be walking in the Capital Area Humane Society’s 2026 Walk for the Animals—and if you know me at all, you know there was approximately ZERO chance I was going to participate without also trying to lovingly guilt all of you into helping me raise some money.

But truly, this organization means so much to me.

Every single day, animals come through the doors at CAHS needing a safe place to land. Some need food and shelter. Some need significant medical care. Some just need someone to show them that humans can be pretty wonderful, too. And CAHS is there to give them all of it—especially the love, care, and second chance they deserve.

And here’s something a lot of people don’t realize: CAHS receives no state or federal funding and is not affiliated with or funded by a national organization. The work we do is possible because people in our community choose to support it.

So… this is me shamelessly asking you to be one of those people. 

If you’re able to donate—even a little bit—I would be SO grateful. Every dollar adds up, and every dollar helps us care for animals who are counting on us.

And if donating isn’t your thing, come WALK with us!! There will be animals. There will be animal people. There will undoubtedly be an unreasonable amount of cuteness. Honestly, what more could you want? ❤️
