August 5th I visited the Capital Humane Society and fell in love with my now, Luna. Being there with all the animals showed me that they are all waiting for their second chance at a loving home, so I need your help.
On October 3, I’ll be walking in the 2026 Capital Area Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals—and I’m walking to give homeless animals those second chances they deserve.
Every day, animals arrive at CAHS with nothing but hope. Now more than ever, pets are being surrendered, abandoned, or left without care. The Capital Area Humane Society steps in to provide food, shelter, medical treatment, and—most importantly—love.
CAHS receives no state or federal funding and isn’t affiliated with any national organizations. Their work is entirely powered by the generosity of people like us and thats why they need our help!
