The company that I work for, Boenning & Scattergood, is once again sponsoring the "Boenning Scattershots" team to participate in this year’s Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon. Boenning Managing Director, Charlie Crowley, has been involved as a Board Member of Junior Achievement for several years, so each year our staff spends an afternoon of food and fun, bowling for this wonderful cause.

Junior Achievement is a great organization that introduces children to economics and the free enterprise system, as an important complement to the regular K-12 social studies curriculum. The students have fun in the classroom and gain practical knowledge and skills that can help them in a variety of areas, including setting career goals and personal finance. One of JA’s most exciting and recent programs is the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge - a fun-filled, action-packed competition where high school students have the opportunity to simulate the experience of standing on the trading floor of the NYSE.
