Kennedy was born at 25 weeks to Tami and Adam Hathaway in Waconia Minnesota. She was 1 pound 6 ounces and 12.5 inches long and like many premature babies she had quite the battle ahead of her. Within a few hours Kennedy was transferred to Children's NICU in Minneapolis where she spent her first 9 months.
After months of fighting, therapies, tests and surgeries Kennedy was able to come home and has been thriving. She continues to fight every day and is able to do so because of the wonderful NICU staff and all of the loving care she had received.
So many tiny babies just like Kennedy fight for their lives every day inside the NICU and we are hoping to give back to those who made it their life’s work to help them. We walk to raise money for the Neonatology department that has made Kennedy’s homecoming possible.
