Next to United Way, Junior Achievement is one of the organizations that WestStar Bank is committed to raising money for to help local youth, all the way from elementary through high school age.  Specifically, the upcoming major event, The Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon helps Junior Achievement of El Paso raise the necessary funds to bring JA programs into our local classrooms.  JA programs teach financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to local students from kindergarten through high school.  Your participation in this premier event will allow Junior Achievement to recruit and train business and community volunteers and place them in the classrooms. These volunteers engage local youth in a curriculum that teaches them how business works and the relevance of education to a productive future.

100% of the proceeds from this event support the mission and programs of our local Junior Achievement of El Paso. With our help, Junior Achievement of El Paso will deliver programs to over 7,000 students this school year at no cost.  These programs are reaching our youth in their classrooms from kindergarten through 12thgrade.  Through the efforts of over 500 local business and community volunteers, Junior Achievement is teaching students the importance of staying in school and giving them hands-on business experience at an early age. Junior Achievement programs offer youth the opportunity to see beyond their circumstances by providing education and exposure to the professional world.
