Join the Lawrence Family at Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence

Hi, I’m Kim. In 1979 my family hosted our first Karen Lawrence Run fundraiser(with Karen starting the race in downtown Chattanooga). We have continued the Karen Lawrence Run for over 40 years, which has been an amazing journey for my entire family. Karen, my twin sister, fought a courageous battle with acute lymphocytic leukemia. She was 11 years old when she lost that battle. It is in Karen’s memory that our family, friends and volunteers have given their time, talent and resources to continue supporting those with a story just like hers.

This year the RMHC will host the second annual Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence and will be held on May 1 from 2-4:30 p.m. at Camp Jordan.  We’d love for you to join us as we continue to support the House that Love Built.

Since the House opened, my Mom (Phyllis) has been a volunteer and involved with helping other families who are experiencing the same need to stay close to their own child in the hospital. Now, 30 years later, families are able to stay close by their sick child with all the comforts of home at the local Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House.

Please consider donating to the RMHC of Greater Chattanooga so that other families can be helped. We hope to see you on Saturday, May 1st!  If you can’t be there in person, you can also support this great cause by registering as a virtual runner/walker.
