Adia Jane was born mid-January 2020 only 24 weeks gestation and lived for a month before meeting her Savior! She was a beautiful fighter who changed our lives forever. God gave her to us to change us, move us and give us hope in His ways. After having 2 healthy, full term children we were shocked and had no clue what road this would take us on. We stayed in the hospital for a few days and Ronald McDonald house took us in immediately. Living over an hour away we didn't know how hard this transition would be and MAN were we blessed beyond measure to have the Ronald McDonald home to stay in. They provided our meals, our toiletries, a private pump and pumping room for me so I could keep up my milk supply, they cleaned our rooms and had quiet common areas to get you out of your room. They accommodated my out of town family who came in to support me on this journey. They are conviently located across from the hospital so I was just a phone call away if something happened with Adia. I felt safe, I felt loved, I felt supported. It was my home away from home. And to say I'm thankful for the Ronald McDonald house is an understandment. I couldn't imagine the strife of driving back and forth every day or hotel bills on top of medical bills that were piling up. We are forever thankful for their kind, loving open arms that took us in when we needed it most! Thank you for all you did and still continue to do for families! Chattanooga and Erlanger hospital is so blessed to have them! My hope is that through this fundraiser the RMHC can continue to provide families with the same wonderful experience we had! We know everyone can't make it to the run, and this is short notice, so that is why when we heard about this fundraiser we wanted to jump in as a way to give back to the wonderful hospitality we were shown!
