I started fundraising for the Ellen Hermanson Foundation in 2020 in support of 2 of my best friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer. Their successful outcome was directly due to early detection. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have great health insurance and access to top treatment. That's why I chose Ellen Hermanson as my designated charity, because they offer that assurance to every woman on the East End regardless of ability to pay. And the work doesn't end there! If there is a cancer diagnosis, the Foundation follows up with advocacy, counseling and so much more.
