Q:  When is Arizona's 5K for Epilepsy?
A:  Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Central High School in Phoenix, AZ.

Q:  How can I spread awareness about this event?
A: There are many ways you can spread awareness!

Q: What are some fundraising ideas I can use for myself or my team?
A: Get started as early as possible! Here are some helpful fundraising resources:

Q:  Is there a registration fee?

A:  There is a $35 fee for pre-registration. NOTE: Registrations made beyond 3/2/18 or on the day of the event (excluding virtual participants) will be the regular fee of $40.

Q:  Who needs to register?
A:  Each person who wishes to receive a t-shirt or participate in the 5k (including children under 5) will need to register.

Q:  Where do I register?
A:  Register online on this site.

NOTE: PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE 5K FOR EPILEPSY HAS CLOSED. YOU CAN REGISTER ON THE DAY-OF STARTING AT 8:00 AM AT THE EVENT.

Q:  Where and when do we turn in money collected from fundraising or donations?
A:  You can turn in your money before the event to the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona office or make donations online on this site (http://epilepsy5k.org). You can search for a participant or a team and make a donation in honor of that individual or group.

Q:  Where can I send money collected?

A:  All money collected can be sent directly to the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona at:

Make checks payable to Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona with the Donation Form. Please do not mail cash. Donations will be entered online upon receipt.

Q:  What do I do if I make the donation to the wrong person or team?
A:  No worries! Simply contact us at 5k@epilepsyaz.org with the error and we will make the necessary changes.

Q:  What happens if it rains?
A:  The 2018 5k for Epilepsy is a rain or shine event.

Q:  When do we get our t-shirts?
A:  T-shirts are distributed at the event on March 24, 2018 at the registration area upon check-in. We do not guarantee t-shirt sizes.

Q:  Can I bring my dog?
A:  ONLY SERVICES DOGS ALLOWED.

Q:  Are baby strollers allowed?
A:  Yes!

Q:  What can I expect on the day of Arizona's 5k for Epilepsy?
A: 

  • 8:00 AM Registration Opens
    • Silent Auction Begins
    • Entertainment Begins
  • 8:45 AM Opening Ceremonies
  • 9:00 AM 5k RUN kicks off (NOTE: ALL RUNNERS MUST BE CHECKED IN/REGISTERED & READY BY 9 AM)
  • 9:50 AM 5K Race Awards Ceremony
  • 10:00 AM 5k WALK kicks off
  • 10:30 AM Silent Auction Closes
  • 12:00 PM End of event

Festivities begin when you walk into the stadium and continue until 12:30pm. Vendors will be in attendance to share information about support and referral services. It is a day when epilepsy awareness and education are celebrated.

A: Central High School is located in Central Phoenix at  4525 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
 

Q:  Where do I park and how to I get to Central High School?

WEST OF CENTRAL AVE

Are you west of Central Ave? Park in one of these 3 Park & Ride locations on Camelback Rd and just take the Valley Metro light rail to the 5k for Epilepsy

OPT 1 - 19th Ave. & Cameback

OPT 2 - Camelback & 7th Ave

OPT 3 - Camelback & Central Ave.

 

EAST OF CENTRAL AVE

Are you east side of Central Ave? Park in one of these 4 Park & Ride locations in Tempe or Mesa to take the Valley light rail to the 5k for Epilepsy!

OPT 1 - Dorsey Ln. & Apache Blvd

OPT 2 - McClintock Dr & Apache Blvd

OPT 3 - Price Rd. & Apache Blvd

OPT 4 - N. Sycamore & Main St.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE VALLEY METRO LIGHT RAIL TO THE 5K

Take the light rail from ANY of the 7 Park & Ride locations to the Campbell/Central Ave stop and follow these simple walking directions to get to the 5k for Epilepsy! Keep an eye out for our volunteers who will help lead the way!
