The Equitable Foundation's Matching Gifts program provides employees the ability to direct the Foundation's contributions to causes that are most important to them. The Equitable Foundation will match 1:1 monetary donations (at a minimum of $50 dollars and up to $2,000 per year) given by Equitable employees to charities they support.

Classroom Central is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is eligible for the matching gift program. In order to initiate the matching gift, please see the instructions on the company intranet. From the home page, navigate to "Our Story" then "Giving Back" and then "Matching Gifts". When completing your matching gift request form online, the recipient name will be beth@classroomcentral.org.

Classroom Central equips students in need to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies to their teachers. We serve teachers and students in nearly 200 schools across six school districts in the Charlotte Region.

While most of our region’s students will be learning remotely, a computer with wifi isn’t the only supply they’ll need. Remote students will still take notes with pens, pencils and paper. They’ll need pocket folders, binders, and backpacks to stay organized. And they’ll take art class with crayons, markers, and glue. Remote learning has actually increased our community’s need for supplies because classrooms can no longer share materials, and now even more families are experiencing financial hardships.
