9th Annual Cheval Cares Family Fun Run (Virtual)

2020 VIRTUAL CHEVAL CARES 5K EVENT IS A HUGE SUCCESS!

We are completely blown away by the outpouring of support we have received from sponsors, donors, local businesses, families, neighbors, and committee volunteers this year, especially in such uncertain times.  While we were definitely motivated to raise as much awareness and funding for childhood cancer research as possible, we never imagined we could even get close to the same numbers as in past years with the economic downturn and covid pandemic.  But because of YOU, we are excited to say that the 2020 Cheval Cares event will be donating over $40,000 net to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation toward their important mission!!!

We would especially like to recognize MICHAEL DOUGLAS and his team HANNAH’S HONOR for once again raising over $5,000 for pediatric cancer research!  Wow!  You all are incredible!  Michael organizes this team each year in loving memory of his sweet daughter Hannah and we are so blessed to be able to partner together with this group in funding research in her honor. 

One more big shoutout to the “KIDS 4 A CURE” team for organizing a fantastically successful book sale once again.  What a special group of compassionate young ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for working hard to raise almost $500 for the cause!!!

As you know, the true inspiration behind this entire event is the brave children who are warriors in the fight against cancer.  Although we were not able to recognize each of them in person at our starting line this year, we still want to share how special they are.  These children are the reason we have come together for 9 years now, and we want to continue funding much needed research and hope in their honor.  Please see the attachments for their stories and photos:

SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!

There will be another opportunity to get involved with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation this month if you would like to continue to support the mission.  The “43 Challenge” was created in honor of the 43 children that are diagnosed each day with this dreaded disease, and the event encourages participants to walk, run, or roll for 43 minutes, or 4.3 miles, or even do 43 miles in a week or throughout the month.  Feel free to join the Cheval Cares team or form your own!  Just go to https://secure.qgiv.com/event/walk-run-roll-virtual/ for more!

10^th ANNIVERSARY CHEVAL CARES 5K IN SEPTEMBER 2021!!!

We will certainly let you know when we have set a date for next year’s special 10^th Anniversary Cheval Cares 5k!  We pray that we will be able to hold the event in person and enjoy the excitement and camaraderie of the race and family fun activities.  Until then, we’re wishing health and safety for you and your loved ones.
