Aces for Acel exists to support the mission of making preventable stillbirth a tragedy of the past. In honor of our son, Acel, we are working to raise $30,000 to help bring awareness, advocacy, and change for families in New Hampshire and beyond.
On average, 56 babies are stillborn in New Hampshire each year and more than 20,000 in the US each year. Research shows that at least 1 in 4 of these stillbirths are preventable. The proceeds of Aces for Acel benefit Healthy Birth Day, Inc. the 501(C)(3) non-profit creator of Count the Kicks.
Count thte Kicks is an evidence-based stillbirth prevention program that educates and empowers expectant moms to track their baby’s movements in the third trimester of pregnancy. Research proves the importance of tracking fetal movement, and Count the Kicks encourages moms to get to know the normal movement pattern for their baby by having daily counting sessions using the free Count the Kicks app, which is available in 20+languages in the iOS and Google Play app stores.
With a full tournament of 144 golfers, this event serves to raise awareness of stillbirth and support stillbirth prevention resources in New Hampshire. It is also a great opportunity to give back to your community in honor of babies gone too soon and their families. Together we will be making a difference for New Hampshire families.
