A quick, real example of how one of the charities helped an Airman: Staff Sergeant Sean Patrick Laviscount faced a difficult time when his father-in-law, Peter, was dying from stage four lung cancer and wanted to meet his newborn grandson. Although Sean’s family could not afford the unexpected trip, the Air Force Aid Society stepped in to help by providing financial assistance. Thanks to AFAS, the family traveled to New York, allowing Peter to meet his grandson before peacefully passing away. The support also relieved the family’s financial stress and reminded Sean that Airmen support one another in times of need. // Help our fellow Airmen and Guardians and their families when they need us most!
