Many Airmen and Guardians across the Department of the Air Force—probably some you know—have been impacted by the current health crisis.  Spouses have lost jobs and with them their eligibility for child care.  The family income is now cut in half and expenses have risen.  The stop-movement order for Airmen and Guardians PCSing last Spring and Summer has had long-reaching effects.  Family members had moved on ahead of the Airman &, while the Airman & Guardian are unable to join them rendering them responsible to operate two households.  That means more expenses, separation during a pandemic, and potential child care issues.  Widows of our retirees are in the age bracket that’s at greatest risk.  So much needs to be done to help protect them against even contracting the coronavirus before they’re able to be fully vaccinated. 

AFAF Charities have already distributed more than $2 Million in aid as to help support our Airmen and Guardians as well as their families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

From emergency assistance to educational assistance, to community programs, to helping widowed spouses stay in their home as long as possible, to providing a home for them when they can no longer care for themselves. The four charities of the AFAF Campaign provide assistance to us when we need it.  We are fundraising for the AFAF Campaign because not only have these charities helped people around us, they will be there for you tomorrow should you need their help too!!!
