The Birmingham Area Jr. Executive Board of the American Cancer Society is proud to present the Annual Magic City Cocktail Challenge - 2020 Edition. Due to current circumstances the event has been modified from its original in person event. During the month of September local Birmingham bars and restaurants are featuring a cocktail on their menu as their Magic City Cocktail Challenge submission. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the cocktail will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Patrons can vote for the Magic City's Best Cocktail by donating to the American Cancer Society on the individual bar/restaurant's link herein.
The Magic City Cocktail Challenge supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
Since inception, the Jr. Board has raised over $1 Million towards the fight against cancer. Our great city plays a major role in the fight against cancer through the local Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge. Since opening, we have provided more than 18,500 nights of free lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers. The American Cancer Society has also recognized the life-saving work being done at UAB and is currently funding 12 UAB research grants totaling $6,513,750.
