As we drive to Alatheia Riding Center, our conversation often involves talking about our riders and their families.  We wonder what it's like to mount a horse when your sight is limited, or you can't hear very well, or you are nonverbal.  The courage of our riders constantly amazes us. 

Leon and I have owed and loved horses for 50 years. (Yes, we've been married 50 years!) We rasied our girls in 4-H with our horses. Our horses are a part of family vacations and we've ridden many happy miles!!  

We believe our own families' horse experiences have prepared us for the amazing opportunity of working and volunteering at Alatheia Riding Center, here in Wenatchee, Washington.  Each week we are able to meet our riders and "their" horses and spend time enriching their lives through movement, fun, focus and  confidence building.  Each lesson is meaningful for our riders, their families and US!!!

To run a quality riding program like Alatheia, fundraising is necessary.  As we ALL know, 2020 has been a challenging year that none of us could even imagine. You can't believe the efforts that we have taken to protect our riders, staff and volunteers so that we could reopen the riding center. 

Our big fundraising events were cancelled.  Now we are asking for help through this fun Apple Cup Horse Race.  If you could donate and help us, it would be so appreciated.  Also, if you could spread the word to your friends and family it would help so much.  Words can't express our gratatude for EVERY dollar donated.
