Little Lita (Lita means small in Norwegian) was a trail horse in the mountains before she came to Alatheia, with limited experience in an arena setting. This shy little one deferred to the more dominant horses in the herd so was last to be fed and last to be chosen. When she got to Alatheia, two years ago, she was under weight, under trained and overwhelmed. She didn’t even trot. A smart girl and always wanting to be part of the herd, she slowly made friends and learned how to be a therapy horse. Now she can be seen hanging out with “the girls” and her boyfriend Andor, wanting to learn new things and get those treats and love from all the humans. She has decided anything Marta can do, she can too. Still a little nervous when the other horses are out of sight, but everyday a little more secure that Alatheia is her forever home. Lita's small size is an asset in her therapy work; volunteers find it easy to provide side support to riders and she is not intimidating to our small children.  Lita is happy to work with independent riders or with a team.
