NEW this year are "I Support The Arc Because..." signs to pin to the back of your event t-shirt. Let people know why you are running, walking, or participating in the event this year. Tell your story!

T-Shirt signs will be available the day of the event at the registration table. Print yours ahead of time by clicking the "T-Shirt Sign" button above.

Course Information

Double loop race on a flat and scenic route around a beautiful lake.

Additional Information

  • Warm up before the race with Zumba by instructor Jaquetta 
  • Free bag check to store your belongings
  • Bagels, fruit, water, coffee, and other light refreshments provided

Awards Catagory

Gather your friends, family, and coworkers to join the #BuildingTomorrows 5K run! The age groups are in 10 year increments, starting at 14 and under through 75 and over.

The following runners will receive a medal during the 5K Awards Ceremony at 10:00am:

  • Top three overall male
  • Top three overall female
  • Top three male and female in each age group

Medals & prizes for top three overall male and female finishers including gym and yoga memberships.

Cross the Finish Line for a Sweet Treat!

Reward yourself at the finish line with a donut courtesy of Off the Wall Donuts.

Walker Information

Why walk alone? Grab your friends, family, and coworkers and create a team as you walk in support of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

  • Flat, accessible walk route
  • Strollers and leashed, well-behaved dogs welcome
  • Bagels, fruit, water, coffee, and other light refreshments (while supplies last)
  • Food truck with food items for sale
  • Raise $25+ for a free event t-shirt and Fun Fest admission

Fun Fest

The Fun Fest portion of the event is where families gather after the run and walk to enjoy interactive activities, food, music, and more! 

Fun Fest Admission: $5 (children 5 years and younger are free)

Directions to the Clipper Pavilion

Address: 5 Cherry Lane, West Orange, NJ

From Northfield Avenue West (with the zoo on your left hand side): Pass the South Mountain Recreation Complex on your left and quickly after the gas station on the right hand side, bear right onto Warnick Lane. Make a left at the stop sign onto Pleasant Valley Way staying in the center or left lanes. Pleasant Valley Way will turn into Cherry Lane. Once you make a left onto Pleasant Valley you will hit a light (that intersection will be Northfield Ave) go through the light (McLoone’s will be on your left hand side). The event and parking will be on your right, approximately ¼ - ½ a mile.

From Northfield Avenue East:  Approaching the Northfield Ave./Pleasant Valley Way/Cherry Lane intersection (where McLoone’s is located) turn immediate right onto Cherry Lane.  The event and parking will be on your right, approximately ¼ - ½ a mile.

From 280:  Take exit 7 for Pleasant Valley Way towards West Orange.  At the Pleasant Valley Way/Cherry Lane/ Northfield Ave. intersection (where McLoone’s is located) proceed straight on Pleasant Valley Way which becomes Cherry Lane.  The event and parking will be on your right, approximately ¼ - ½ a mile.

From South Orange Avenue:  Turn onto Brookside Drive (north towards Turtle Back Zoo).  Brookside Drive turns into Cherry Lane.  The event and parking will be on your left, approximately ¼ - ½ a mile.

Event Parking

FREE parking located across the street in the grass lot. Please follow signs that say "General Event Parking"

Ample Handicap-Accessible parking available in handicap lot located directly across the street from the Clipper Pavilion. Please have your handicap placard or plates visible for the parking lot attendants.
