Join us for the APDA Optimism Walk!

Across the nation, walkers will unite in 2025 to take meaningful steps in support of everyone affected by Parkinson’s disease. At the South Sound Walk, every dollar raised will stay local—directly funding programs and services that help individuals with Parkinson’s live their fullest lives. Your support will also help fund cutting-edge research to develop better treatments and, ultimately, find a cure.

2025 South Sound Optimism Walk Honoree

The APDA Northwest Chapter is proud to recognize Bob Dixon as the 2025 South Sound Optimism Walk Honoree.

A distinguished U.S. Army veteran, Bob served in Vietnam from July 1970 to February 1972 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018. His outlook on life is nothing short of inspiring: “Life happens – so get out and live it! I know that I will not win my battle with PD, but I will give it one hell of a fight.” Bob has been a generous and consistent supporter of APDA, contributing through monthly donations and active participation in fundraising events.

Please join us in celebrating Bob’s service, determination, and impact, while honoring Bob and all our heroes as we walk together with optimism and purpose in 2025.
