Thank you for visting my fundraising page - it means a lot to me!
A little background on why I am requesting your support...
As you may know, I have worked for Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (the park district for kids and adults with disabilities in the northern suburbs of Chicago) for over two years. It's truly a special organization that does impactful work EVERY day to help people with disabilities play and have many fun experiences. My kids, Hannah and Morgan, have really enjoyed volunteering their time with NSSRA teaching basketball to kids the past two years as well.
So after a six year search, NSSRA purchased a former synagogue in Highland Park last year and embarked on a capital campaign to fund the building renovations that will include a large lounge, teaching kitchen, great room for dances, fitness and art rooms, and so much more for our participants to enjoy. It's very exciting, especially since we currently don't have any programming space in our current building.
Proudly, nearly $1.95M of our $2.2M goal has been raised to-date through private donations and now it's time to bring the campaign to as many people as possible to help get across the finish line and start the renovation process. Please consider a contribution of any size to help make it happen!
Thank you in advance for considering a gift to this important cause!
