As most of you know, my friend Jack has cancer. He has been fighting Lymphoma of both kidneys for two years. This year, he has been able to return to school. He plans to run the entire ASK 5K with me, which is impressive because he has daily chemo, monthly IV chemo, and quarterly spinal taps. He still has a year and a half of aggressive treatments to go.

PS- Eleanor, the fourth grader on my street that also is fighting cancer is having a great year, too! Her three-year old sister was a bone marrow donor several months ago. It changed Eleanor's blood type and kicked Leukemia! Hopefully, her third bout with cancer is her final one and her recovery from the transplant continues.
