Event Registration

In addition to making life better for kids with cancer, your event registration includes:

  • Race bib                      
  • Chip timing for runners
  • Participant t-shirt
  • Finisher's medal
  • Goody bag
  • Ticket to the Flying Squirrels' home game on Saturday, June 15th, at 6:05pm to celebrate ASK Day at The Diamond

Please note that we do not offer refunds. We do provide consideration for our ASK families who need refund assistance.

If you are unable to participate, you can claim your t-shirt and goody bag at early packet pick-up. 

Event Pricing

Adult (18 & up)

  • Early Bird Pricing (before March 31st): $30
  • Regular Pricing: $35 
  • Walk-Up Pricing: $40

Youth (17 & under)

  • Early Bird Pricing (before March 31st): $20
  • Regular Pricing: $25
  • Walk-Up Pricing: $30

Kids 5 & under have the option to register for free but will not receive a t-shirt or bib.

Event Schedule

Early Packet Pick-Up, Friday May 3rd

  • 12pm to 7pm
  • ASK's office, 5211 W. Broad Street, Suite 102 (front door is in the back of building)
  • Walk-up registrations available

Race Day, May 4th

  • 8:00am - Registration & Packet Pick-Up Opens 
  • 8:30am - Nissan of Richmond Pre-Race Tailgate Starts
  • 9:30am - Awards Ceremony 
  • 10:00am - 5K Starts
  • 10:00am - Concourse Race Festival Starts
  • 11:15am - Top Finisher Awards
  • 11:30am - Moment of Remembrance & Kourageous Kids Victory Lap

Starting Line & 5K Course

Participants will line up outside the Food Lion Party Den pavilion located on the 1st base side of the stadium to take off through area neighborhoods and make their way back into the Diamond to receive their medal at home plate. Water stops and spirit stations line the way.  

The ASK 5K & Fun Walk course is great for setting a PR for fastest time or for having the most fun! Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcomed. 

Nissan of Richmond Pre-Race Tailgate & Post-Race Festival

Arrive early to join us for the Pre-Race Tailgate presented by Nissan of Richmond!  We'll have games, activities, photobooth fun, music and a spirit station stop to get you ready for your 3.1 run/walk. The celebration starts at 8:30am with an awards ceremony at 9:30am recognizing Top Fundraising Teams and Individuals as well as the award for Most Team Spirit.

The celebration continues at the post-race festival on the concourse, featuring live music with the Jangling Reinharts, finisher food, and activities for the kids. Don't miss the awards ceremony for top finishers, fundraising teams and most team spirit. We'll also cheer on our ASK Kourageous Kids during their inspiring victory lap.

Top Fundraising Team (1st Place)
Second Highest Fundraising Team (2nd Place)

Top Fundraising Individual

The team with the most registered members will win the Largest Team Award. Call everyone you know as it usually takes over 150 people to claim this prize!

The Team Spirit Award will recognize the team that creates awareness for the cause based on costumes, team name, t-shirts, props, enthusiasm, songs, chants, etc. Have fun and be creative, and maybe you'll go home with bragging rights!
