This is our second year participating in the walk and we are so excited to help raise funds for ASK again this year.

ASK came into our lives in March 2019 when we first heard the words "Your child has blood cancer," We were terrified, confused, and completely overwhelmed when we received a call from the sweetest woman at ASK telling us that they are there for us and will continue to be with us. We came to truly see that you are an ASK family for life.

Throughout Holden's treatment we recieved financial assistance from ASK to help offset going to one income, we received goodies at clinic that helped to pass the many many hours waiting to get blood results or treatments, and we always had great personal interactions with all of the members of the ASK staff.

After treatment was over, and we could actually venture out into the world again, we saw even more of what ASK did for families. Piper got to go to a special, extra cautious, preschool, we went to parties at the clinic, we were sponsored for Christmas, and saw a wide variety of services that ASK offered to assist the whole family, not just the child with cancer.  I also began to use the mental health services - ASK pays for meetings with a psychologist at absolutely no cost to the person receiving services. My mental health was SHOT after months of chemo, hospital visits, and my world being completely flipped over in March 2019.
