My son, John Travis, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was three years old. Like many kids, he enjoys going to summer camp. Unlike many kids, him going to an average summer camp is involves more risk than mosquitos and poison ivy due to his diabetes. Camp Seale Harris is a summer camp for kids with diabetes where they are educated, empowered and encouraged to manage their diabetes well which will help them to live longer, more fulfilled lives. I am asking you to help provide a way for kids with diabetes to go to summer camp who could otherwise not be able to go.
