Every cancer diagnosis changes a life.  For the person hearing the words.  For the partner sitting beside them.  For the child trying to understand. For the friend who does not know what to say.  For the caregiver carrying more than anyone can see.

Cancer changes more than health.  It can disrupt identity, work, relationships, family roles, finances, and the sense of what comes next.  No one should have to navigate that alone.

Because of Cancer Support Community Arizona, no one has to.

Cancer Support Community Arizona expanded to northern Arizona and opened doors in Flagstaff in October 2021.  This October, we celebrate five years of people finding their way to Cancer Support Community in northern Arizona.  They came for professionally led support, trusted education, healthy lifestyle programs, social connection, and help navigating needs that do not fit neatly inside a medical appointment.  For five years, community has been at the heart of this organization.

Saturday, October 10, 2026, we honor the hundreds of individuals who have walked through our doors at A Walk to Remember, our fifth anniversary celebration.

One feature of A Walk to Remember will be a walk to remember as we walk together to raise money to fund the next five years.  Cancer can bring uncertainty at diagnosis, through treatment, during recovery and remission, and into survivorship, recurrence, end of life and grief.  Caregivers, children and families move through every stage too.

Arizona is home to skilled clinicians, hospitals, oncology practices, nonprofits and funders.  CSCAZ strengthens that network by helping people find continuity, connection, and a place to return as their needs change.

This is the gap community helps fill.  It turns information into guidance, a referral into a relationship, and a first visit into a place someone can return without starting over.  CSCAZ is not another stop on the treatment schedule.  It is a community people can enter through one need and return to as life changes.  No one should have to carry the cancer journey alone.  Community helps make sure they do not have to go alone. 

The walk to remember will take place in two locations on 10/10/2026.  Select the location that works for you, share the QR code with family, friends, work colleagues, and neighbors.  Set a fundraising goal and ask people to sponsor your walk by donating through the QR code.  You don't have to collect a penny, the website will take care of that for you.  You do the outreach, build a team, invite sponsors, and come join us as remember the past five years and plan for the next five years.
