Piper is why I run!!!

Six years ago, I found love in a shelter dog, Piper. I adopted her from a high-kill shelter in Philly that is run by the most loving, caring, patient, giving and selfless people. Fortunately for her & I and the other animals housed there, she was given time to play, socialize, go on walks & rides and showered with pets & treats. Often there is a misconception about shelter pets, that they are castaways or "broken" and unadoptable. But this couldn't be further from the truth. Similar to where I adopted Piper from, Providence Animal Center offers "life-affirming rescue, medical care, treatment, protection and placement of companion animals that forever upholds the critical importance of the human-animal bond. We have an unwavering commitment to this mission and will always strive to deliver the most optimal, advanced care to our animal friends – and their owners."

Piper & I would love to give back and hope you are able to help us support this amazing non-profit, charitable organization. We (including Matt Shover) are running the Virtual Bark in the Park 5k on Saturday, Oct. 24th. If you can, please make a financial contribution to my $100 goal.
