Living with hemophilia has been a journey that I’ve been grateful for. I honestly couldn't have said that growing up, I had to have patience and grow to appreciate the gift I had. So many people have helped me along the way to get where I am today. My mother and father have always shared the importance of helping others. Going on this trip is one of those “once in a lifetime” experiences that has such an amazing purpose. I absolutely love the impact that Save One Life is having on families with hemophilia in undeveloped countries. Getting the opportunity to meet these families and see first hand the impact Save One Life Mission will be a very special part of this adventure. 

My Everest! 

Making the trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp - 17,600 ft. will be a personal milestone for me. Having developed “end stage arthritis” in my right ankle sum 25 years ago due to bleeds in that joint has limited me from doing a lot of the things I enjoy doing. It has been 6 years since being able to walk pain free with the help from my ExoSym device. About the same time Chris went up to summit Mt. Everest.  With this device making the 40 mike trek up to base camp gives me the confidence and ability to walk without any pain. I honestly wouldn’t be participating if I didn’t have this device. I'm honored to be join the Save One Life team on this exciting adventure. I'll be trekking for everyone that has hemophilia, as well as all the adaptive athletes who chooses to never give up in pursuit of their dreams.  I'll also be trekking for our military as well as my mother and father (in-heaven). Anything is possible if you never give up and belief in yourself!
